“Nice”
I liked everything except one thing: the buggy timing was too late—we had to wait half an hour and it still didn’t arrive; I was pregnant so walking was hard, and I had to walk anyway—very bad experience.

The Mayfair Spring Valley Resort Guwahati offers a 5-star experience with elegant accommodations, spa facilities, and a swimming pool with a view. Lush gardens and a sun terrace complement the resort's amenities, which include a fitness room, free on-site parking, and private check-in/check-out. The only things I really enjoyed were the spacious room and the spa massage, which was genuinely good and relaxing. Unfortunately, apart from those two aspects, the overall experience did not quite meet my expectations. I would consider myself a loyal Marriott customer. Almost every vacation, I usually choose Marriott because I know what level of service and hospitality to expect. This time, I decided to try something different and experience Mayfair Resort, especially because I had heard so much about it and had high expectations. I honestly expected it to provide an experience comparable to a luxury five-star property. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. While Mayfair certainly looks like a five star resort in photographs and advertisements, once you are actually there, the overall experience did not feel like a five-star property to me. At times, it felt closer to a three-star experience because of the service and attitude of some of the staff. From the moment we arrived, the first impression was not great. The security guard at the entrance saw us but was busy chatting and did not seem interested in welcoming or assisting guests. The two gentlemen in cream-coloured uniforms near the reception entrance were an exception. They were friendly, welcoming and created the kind of atmosphere you would expect when arriving at a luxury resort. Unfortunately, that level of hospitality was not consistent throughout the property. One thing I noticed repeatedly was staff members standing around chatting in groups. It happened near the parking and drop-off area, around the restaurants, and in different parts of the resort. As a guest, seeing employees frequently gathered together and talking rather than being attentive to guests takes away from the feeling of luxury. The room itself was very spacious, and I would give the room an 8.5/10 for its size and comfort. However, the bathroom was disappointing. There were visible stains on the bathroom wall, and the bathroom mirror was not properly clean. For a property positioned as luxury accommodation, these are details that should not be overlooked. The restaurant service was another area that needs improvement

the food quality is not that good. break fast was not that lavish and tea was very bad. It took long time to get tea although it was being made there. We didnot even go for the hi tea next day. Most of the things were taking time like plates ordered in room came after 1 hour when we had finished our lunch. Your golf cars were not working and many times they did not even come. Cue rod in the pool table was broken. On the whole it was not a good experience. We have stayed in so many may fair properties and we had such wow memories but this time it was different
