Air conditioning in the room was a huge help given the heat and humidity. Laundry could be done, tours could be booked, and the staff were very helpful and spoke English (rare in Guatemala). The place was very clean, and the extra plus was a wardrobe that linked the room to the bathroom. Great location, and the whole Flores island is a solid choice. Overall, it was all great, but I had one night where Netflix didn’t work (otherwise everything was fine) and there wasn’t a breakfast option available (a set choice in advance), though it was tasty but a bit monotonous.

“Great hostel and staff at a great location”

The breakfast that comes with the bed rate is simple but decent. The room is clean and comfortable, with an en‑suite bathroom that has great shower pressure and temperature. Free drinking water is provided, and the beds have curtains. If you leave early or go on a trip before breakfast, they give a simple packed breakfast. The staff are pleasant and attentive. The on‑site café is convenient and serves excellent coffee and the best bagels. There aren’t many common areas to hang out. Occasionally the staff seem a bit hesitant to fulfill simple requests for no clear reason. The lower bed in the bunker is a bit too low in the room I stayed in. Breakfast doesn’t include coffee, but honestly the free coffee offered in most hostels isn’t great and I prefer strong coffee, so it wasn’t really an issue for me—I just bought the great coffee they sell at their coffee shop.

It’s a nice place to stay on Flores. The breakfasts could be better—they’re quite plain compared to other Guatemalan hostels.
