The Riad is stunning. The staff were very helpful in every way. The Riad was within walking distance of most sites. We really enjoyed our stay.

“Ein schönes Museum, aber als Hotel gar nicht fein”

The place feels more like a museum or mausoleum—beautiful, but far from cozy. The standard room is tiny, lacking a wardrobe, so you can only look around, not relax. The pool is only open from 2 am to 5 am, which is a real joke.

“Beautiful, Affordable Riad in Fes”

Riad Mazar ranks among the most stunning hotels I’ve ever stayed at; its interiors are simply breathtaking. I appreciated that the riad isn’t overly large. The staff went above and beyond, arranging guides for Meknes, Volubilis, and Fes, handling transportation to the riad, and even hiring a driver to take us up to Chefchaouen. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!

“The support staff tried to be helpful but they are trained to be proactively helping guests. There is a management prob”

The public space was beautifully restored and the bedding was comfortable. Unfortunately the bathrooms left a lot to be desired—there was a rusted current rod and a torn shower curtain. The room had no water glasses, and the staff couldn’t find them. Ice was unavailable because the staff didn’t have a key, and we were told to wait several hours. Parking isn’t reserved, so if none are available you’re told to drive around until you find one, supposedly “better later.” The staff also failed to arrange a taxi; we were told to walk several blocks and that we’d find one, which was unhelpful if you don’t speak the language. We ended up driving in circles for 30 minutes because the driver didn’t know where we were supposed to go. All of these issues piled up and left us unhappy.

“Très beau Riad en bordure de la médina”

The décor and the friendliness of the staff were great. The room was a bit small, but that’s on me—I should have chosen a larger one.
