Glendower Bed & Breakfast lies on a quiet, tree‑lined road, ten minutes’ walk from Torquay’s seafront. It offers free English breakfast with local eggs, sausages, bacon and vegetarian choices, plus complimentary Wi‑Fi. Each decorated room features a private bathroom, flat‑screen TV and tea/coffee facilities. A bar, lounge and proximity to the International Riviera Conference Centre and town centre add convenience.

I was blown away by Glendower; the staff welcomed me, guided me to parking, and even carried my luggage to the room. The room’s refreshments were superb, with fresh milk in a thermos, and the bathroom was spotless with soft towels. Breakfast was delicious, and the couple running the place clearly revitalised a tired property. The entrance still looks unfinished, but that’s the only minor flaw. The carpets need updating to match the new décor, yet they were freshly shampooed, and overall the property was impeccably maintained.
