It was very quiet and comfortable, but there was no bar or restaurant; however, there are plenty nearby that you can visit. The free breakfast was adequate but offered few options, and the place is great for the price if you want peace and quiet.
“Prachtige pittoreske plek”
The place feels very laid‑back, and Kadek was extremely helpful, picking me up and dropping me off wherever needed—really great! Currently, construction is happening behind the huts. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s a shame that the entire night the construction lights stay on, preventing a full dark starry night.
“War in Ordnung”
The beach is very close. The bathroom feels a bit dated, lacking towel hooks, and there were no towels or hand‑drying cloths available.
“Relaxte sfeer vlakbij Mushroom Bay en Hidden Bay!”
A few freshly painted huts surround a small pool with a handful of lounge chairs, creating a cozy, relaxed vibe. Walking from Mushroom Bay beach takes just minutes: climb the stair at the end of the beach, slip between two neighboring huts, and follow the winding path to reach Hidden Bay, which is easily accessible.
“carino!”
The “hut” concept is charming, and when I arrived I even spotted a squirrel! However, I didn’t find it particularly comfortable: the stairs to the bathroom are a bit steep, the bathroom is open so I encountered insects several times, and there’s no air conditioning, making it hot and humid—especially at night. The room itself is cozy, not overly large, but having an outdoor patio to relax on is nice. Breakfast was excellent, especially the banana pancakes. The location is great for Mushroom Bay and the nearby hidden beach, but the boats and waves make them non‑swimmable, and the rocky seabed isn’t suitable for swimming; Mushroom Bay is definitely overhyped. Tamarin Beach is nearby but disappointing. So while beach access is convenient, the area feels a bit off‑center. The advantage is that it’s a very quiet zone and the island is small, so everything is reachable, though I was a bit scared to return at night. A shuttle service to and from the port is available, but I found it very pricey.
