The location was excellent. Breakfast was not offered when booking, but we understood it was room only, which was fine. We thought the room was lovely—Emmeline Pankhurst, 2nd floor, very comfortable, nice view & warm. The only thing we did not like was the stairs. We know you can’t change that; we were on the 2nd floor, which we knew when we booked, yet we didn’t expect the stairs to be so steep. We’re both in our 70s but managed. Next time we’ll book a little earlier to try to get a 1st floor room.

“Unique property”

The accommodation was unique and conveniently located near town. However, there was no shower cubicle, and the group that arrived after midnight made a lot of noise.

I was impressed by the bespoke room and bathroom, which had an unusual yet nice decor. If you enjoy the quirky vibe, everything worked out fine.

“Amazing little place!”

Amazing place to stay. Very clean and beautiful. We met Charlene who was so lovely, I felt like we had known her all our lives. The place is very quirky and full of old artifacts to observe. We loved the decor, the atmosphere and it felt really homely and welcoming. So many things to look at and admire within the building. We got the room with the balcony which was lovely to sit out on and have a drink in the evening before bed. We will definitely be going back. Great location for anywhere near town and right next to the train station so no need to pay for parking if you dont want to. 10/10!!. The fact we only stayed 2 nights! I wish we could have stayed longer to be honest. Such a peaceful retreat. We enjoyed it so much
