The staff are great. The exteriors are very pretty and comfortable, and the rooms are too. However, the bungalows lack sound insulation.
The staff were helpful.
The pool and the location were great, and we were lucky to get a big room!
The place is quiet and very beautiful.
“Een prima optie voor de Gili-Eilanden als ze zorgen dat het onderhoud in orde blijft.”
The outdoor shower felt unique. At check‑in we were already surprised to learn we had received a free upgrade to one of the largest houses. For a small fee you can easily rent bikes and electric scooters here. The property is about a ten‑minute walk from the harbor in the middle of Gili Island. Two swimming pools are available, and they can organize a cheap snorkel tour too! The staff were inconsistent; one was super friendly and helpful, the next was very distant. There was a lot of deferred maintenance, with peeling paint and an abundance of small insects. Rooms weren’t cleaned unless you asked a staff member, so the water wasn’t refilled for brushing teeth. Because the island belongs to Lombok and is largely Muslim, the mosque on the island is quite loud, which meant we were woken around five am by the loud prayers across the island. One more tip: don’t take the Tanis Fast Cruise to or from Gili Island. It may be the cheapest option and an experience in itself, but I was really afraid we wouldn’t make it across the water. They also stop at all the other islands first, so the trip ends up being quite long.
