“Lovely Accommodation: Hygiene Is Nowhere Near a 9.8 Rating!”
To start with the positives, the accommodation itself has a lot of potential. The way it has been designed and built is lovely, with a charming and atmospheric feel. The rooms are spacious, which is definitely a plus. The housekeeping staff are also very kind and friendly, and we want to emphasise that our complaints are not directed at them personally. In our opinion, they simply do not have the proper supplies and resources needed to do their jobs to an acceptable standard. Absolutely Disgraceful – Hygiene Is Nowhere Near a 9.8 Rating! From the moment we arrived at the accommodation, we noticed termites in the entrance door. Not exactly the best first impression, but unfortunately, things only got worse from there. On our first evening, when we were getting ready for bed, we pulled back the duvet and discovered stains on the bedding. Upon closer inspection, we found that the fitted sheet on the mattress had an actual bloodstain on it. The duvet itself was stained as well. Absolutely disgusting! We immediately contacted the staff to request clean bedding, but unfortunately, nobody was available to provide us with fresh sheets. As a result, we had no choice but to spend the first night sleeping on top of the bedding rather than underneath it. The following morning, we received a message apologising for the situation and promising that the bedding would be replaced immediately. We went out for breakfast, expecting the problem to have finally been resolved by the time we returned. Unfortunately, we were in for another unpleasant surprise. The bedding had been changed, but once again, the sheets were visibly dirty and stained. It is honestly unbelievable that this could happen twice! After complaining to the staff again, they brought us yet another set of sheets, which we were expected to inspect ourselves before they would put them on the bed. And guess what? Every single sheet was stained. In the end, we had to choose the least dirty one because none of them were properly clean. The staff’s explanation was that this was how the sheets had been returned from the laundry. Fine, but if your laundry service keeps returning stained bedding, then perhaps it is time to buy new sheets! Guests should not have to inspect dirty laundry and choose the least disgusting option just to have something to sleep on. I genuinely cannot understand how this accommodation has a 9.8 rating for cleanliness
