The spot is unbeatable, almost directly opposite the airport bus stop, a few steps from the metro station, and facing the night market. Yet, the reception is empty, and some guests ignore basic rules like not washing clothes after 8 pm, creating noise because no one tells them otherwise. One night I had to deal with a shower that wouldn’t drain and sinks that didn’t run properly; the place has its quirks.

I enjoyed a fantastic stay at Myeongdong Station Hotel! It was perfect for a solo trip—comfortable, convenient, and exactly what I needed. The location was great, with easy access to transport, shops, and restaurants. Breakfast options were excellent, a nice way to start the day. The staff were very helpful, even storing my luggage for me, which made the trip smoother. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seoul, especially solo travelers, and I’d gladly stay again.

The location is great. The rooms are simple but part of the charm, and I slept like a baby. There was nothing negative.

For a solo traveler staying 2–3 nights, this hostel could work well. Personally, I wouldn’t stay much longer than a few nights, though the place isn’t particularly bad. I chose it mainly because each pod has a lockable door, letting me keep my luggage safe. My bag fit under the bed, which was convenient. Breakfast was included and essentially a stocked fridge you can help yourself to during breakfast hours, which I liked. The location is a big plus, especially if you enjoy shopping, and there’s a limousine bus to the airport, making travel easier. Overall, it’s a practical choice for a short solo stay if location, luggage security, and convenience matter. The only downside was that my pod had no window, which I expected, though I suspect that might only apply to male rooms. Female rooms are accessed via stairs, not ideal when carrying over 20 kg of luggage, especially late at night. Soundproofing could be better; the walls are thin and you can hear other guests clearly, so light sleepers should note that.
