The hotel was spotless, and our room was spacious and comfortable.

It’s only a three‑minute walk to the bridge leading to the ancient Imperial city, and the balcony offers a superb river view of the historic district, with gorgeous vintage wooden furniture inlaid with mother‑of‑pearl. However, there is virtually no soundproofing; guests in the corridor shout and scream until late at night and from 7 am onward, making it feel like the noise is right inside the room, and the hotel’s age shows in many faults – I had to change rooms twice, the TVs never worked, and the “triple” room I booked turned out to have windows opening onto an interior hallway with no outside view, wooden shutters without glass, so anyone walking by could see into the room unless you kept the curtains drawn. I refused that layout and was placed for one night in a room without a bath, only a shower that reeked of sewage and made strange noises like a washing machine running for hours behind the wall; the bathroom door wouldn’t close. Kids from the neighboring triple room shouted loudly past my door until nightfall. The next day I was moved to a two‑person deluxe with a shared balcony, but the bathtub was only attached to the two walls it rested on. That room was about 100 k cheaper per night than what I paid and smaller. For two evenings I couldn’t get into my room because the lock batteries were dead. Hot water was erratic – sometimes it took ten minutes to appear, other times boiling water ran straight away, and it seemed full pressure only on weekends.

I booked for my parents via the site. When they checked in, they were very impressed. The room was spacious, clean, and airy, and the staff were friendly and enthusiastic. They said they didn’t know how to leave a review, so they told their children to stay at this hotel next time they visit Hue. They would give the hotel a perfect score. 🥰
