“Excellent location, charming historic building including a beautiful chapel, and excellent staff.”
Its location was great—much quieter than a hotel right in the city center, and walking to the heart of town was easy; plenty of nearby restaurants and the hotel’s own dining were enjoyable, and the rooftop bar was a nice bonus. We appreciated the historic charm, especially the preserved chapel, and the front desk staff were excellent, offering solid recommendations. We stayed in the Annex, and finding our room was a bit confusing; we had to carry our luggage up narrow, windy stone stairs early in the morning. The shower head malfunctioned, so we only used the wand. Most nights were quiet, except for the loud bar down the street with music blasting through large outdoor speakers that could be heard throughout the neighborhood.
