“Céntrico pero muy pequeño”

The place is super central, just above the legendary churros san Ginés. It was clean and I was able to stay overnight. The air‑con remote was missing, the lockers were makeshift drawers, and the space felt a bit cramped.

The place itself is very clean, the cleaning lady is very kind and always left every area spotless. The location is above the San Gines chocolate shop, so opening the window brings the smell of fried churros. The kitchen is immaculate and the bathrooms are extremely clean. The cleaning lady is very affectionate. To reach the hostel you have to climb stairs. There’s no elevator, making it very difficult if you have luggage. Also the AC broke. When I reported it the next morning it was still broken. They said they had fixed it, but it still didn’t work. We were without AC at 28 °C in the room. After two nights we finally had AC, but then it was too cold. Even when we raised the temperature it stayed ultra‑cold. In short, I couldn’t rest at all.

“No lo recomiendo.”

There’s a general sense of insecurity, with several reports of thefts or suitcases that clearly were being targeted for theft. The housekeeping staff were rude.

Muy buen punto en Madrid. Fácil acceso. Repetimos alojamiento porque habíamos estado antes pero la habitación de esta vez no tenía buen colchón, no tenía luces al lado de la cama ni mesas de luz. La pared tenía agujeros
