It’s a nice hotel for its price, especially if you’re traveling through and need a place to rest. There’s a McDonald’s nearby for dinner, and the hotel offers a good breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, exactly as described and pictured. For long stays, the economy rooms with windows overlooking the ice rink are only suitable for hockey fans, and even then it’s not guaranteed. You can hear the puck hitting the boards until 22 or 23, and around 6 am the rink starts being cleaned.

The windows in the room face the ice rink; the quality isn’t the highest, but it’s in the city centre and the price was good for the season.

The staff did what they could, but the overall standard is hard to defend. The breakfast, included in the room rate, is a plus. The building’s look and vibe feel like a mix between an old hospital and a homeless shelter—wretched, to say the least, but still passable. The real shocker is that some rooms face a rink, not an exterior view. Through the window you see skaters moving to music from dawn until late evening. There’s no natural daylight in the room because the rink is under the roof, so the windows are also under the roof, creating a depressive atmosphere. On top of that, the music from the morning keeps you awake. In the evening, the TV is useless because you can’t hear anything. If you’re not a fan of skating or constant noise, consider staying elsewhere.

I was pleased with the cleanliness and order, and the breakfast was solid. The only downside was the training that started at 6.00, where loud music played.
