The place was spotless, the lobby was striking, and the room and bathroom were huge with every imaginable amenity. The only downside was that the hotel sits a little far from the main tourist spots, and the Wi‑Fi was either painfully slow or completely non‑functional.

The main perk of the room was the high floor – I was on the 23rd and the view was breathtaking, falling asleep to the beautifully lit skyline of Beijing and waking up to the soft morning glow over the cityscape, with perfect weather. The stay was short but flawless: clean, beautiful, a nice bathroom, comfortable bed, stunning view, and a stylish glass balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful, easily accommodating requests like an early check‑in, and I was greeted with a tea‑making demonstration. Most of the team spoke English well and met Chinese standards. Rare in China, both the room and breakfast offered good brewed coffee. The only minor flaw was the breakfast variety – it felt like a world breakfast with Japanese sushi, Korean kimchi, French croissants, but I missed Chinese dishes; only two stalls had soup and dumplings, and by the second day I complained about the lack of variety, though there were plenty of local restaurants nearby.

I had a fantastic stay here; from arrival to checkout I felt respected and professionally treated. The hotel sits in a quiet spot, which I think is a good location. Though it’s not right next to the Forbidden City, it’s close enough to the subway and there are plenty of other transport options. Nearby is a park with walking trails, a gym, a swimming pool, a hot and cold jacuzzi, and both dry and wet saunas. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable, even featuring a humidifier. All of this shows the thoughtfulness that went into making guests comfortable and enjoy their stay.

“Brilliant value for money in a well run hotel.”

The staff were helpful, the area is great for strolling along the riverbank, and the room was lovely. On occasion there seemed to be a faint trace of smoke hanging in the air.
