The breakfast was tasty and the jacuzzi was a real treat after a day of sightseeing. Still, I wish the listing had mentioned that the lady of the house lives on‑site and often has friends over for meals, which felt a bit intrusive.

We loved the hot tub and the breakfast served in the room, plus the view was lovely – the hosts were friendly and made it feel like a proper B&B. The only drawback was that the bedroom TV was dead, so we ended up watching in the downstairs lounge instead.

Our room was roomy and the breakfast spread was impressive – lots of sandwiches, cheeses and more. The scenery around the hotel was stunning, and soaking in the jacuzzi while looking out over the lake made for a perfect evening.
