“Toller Aufenthalt.”

The hotel complex is beautiful, the staff (especially Lu <3!!) are friendly, the food is high quality, the beach is quiet with few beachboys, and the sand benches are amazing and within walking distance. The rooms are simple but authentically designed, you receive a bottle of water daily, and overall the atmosphere feels personal and pleasant. However, there is no minibar in the rooms; we had to request a fridge, and not all rooms have one, plus there’s no kettle or similar. There are hardly any supermarkets within walking distance. At breakfast, Nutella was missing every day for all six days even though it was listed on the menu—if it’s too expensive, don’t offer it. Also, there’s no buffet; you choose between two dishes daily, which isn’t a big deal because the food always tasted good, but some people might expect a buffet in a hotel.

The place is relaxed with beautiful surroundings. The breakfast staff’s attitude felt like we were a nuisance when we asked for water.

“Détente et eau bleue !”

TOUT ! Le personnel était au top, nous avons eu un accueil au top, merci à Lu qui nous a aidé à réserver des activités. L’hôtel est magnifique et pied dans l’eau ! Les marées n’étaient pas du tout dérangeante. Les massages tout ! La nourriture est bonnne ! La piscine accessible à tout moment et Petit + pour le jus de passion ! Merci encore et n’hésitez pas c’est le repos assuré !. Rien ! Soyez juste conscients que vous serez interpellés sur la plage par des massaïs et locaux qui vous proposent des activités ou souvenirs à acheter mais ils restent très sympas et prévoyez juste d’aller au restau de l’hôtel avant d’avoir pleinement faim car il y a un peu d’attente mais vu le cadre et l’ambiance chill rien de dérangeant !

The breakfast was very good with a wide selection and the hotel itself is lovely right on the beach. Because it was the most expensive hotel on our Zanzibar trip, we expected more. The photos don’t match reality. The location is on the beach, but there aren’t many options nearby, and there are few restaurants or shops. Our room was extremely hot because there was no air conditioning (I overlooked that during booking as it’s standard for us). The room was next to the big power generator, which ran every evening during power cuts, so we asked to change rooms. That happened quickly and the new room was a bit better. We didn’t see any security staff on the property. There were no sun loungers by the pool, so we always had to lie on the beach area, where we were constantly watched and harassed by the masseuses.

The stay was wonderful, the staff were all super friendly, and the food was excellent—we really enjoyed it. There was nothing major to note, just a few hiccups getting the air conditioning to work and the shower water flowing slowly. It didn’t stop us from enjoying the hotel and our room, which met our expectations fully.
