The hosts were extremely friendly, polite and took excellent care of us, preparing handmade breakfast in their yard with plenty of options; I definitely recommend it to anyone, especially since the place and Portaria are amazing and this is an ideal combination.

The breakfast is wonderful, the location is very good, the view is nice, and the people are very friendly and helpful. The access is a bit difficult because of the ground layout.

Vaso, the hotel landlady, is probably one of the kindest people in the world, or at least she is a super kind and attentive hotel manager! She ensured we had vegan options for breakfast and even spent time preparing the dishes herself; we stayed in one of the best rooms available, which was super clean, cosy, and featured a warm wood tone with blooming flowers in front—our best hotel experience to date. The hotel sits in an extremely quiet spot; the road is bumpy as hell but manageable once you get used to it, and it dominates the bay of Volos, offering wonderful views at all times. From there, the village is a 5‑minute walk and offers several dining options. You can also drive to Makrynitsa for lunch, coffee, or dinner while gazing at Pelion and the bay, and the location is ideal for exploring the entire peninsula.
