The breakfast buffet is generous, offering eggs, pancakes, and more. We ate at Restaurant Jacob, enjoying a view of the Elbe. The hotel staff is very courteous and helpful. A bus stop is nearby on Sieberlingstraße, served by lines 115, 12, and uw.

“Absolut außergewöhnliche Spitzenklasse”

We usually don’t rate hotels, but this place really made me feel the need to. I had long wanted to stay at the Louis C. Jacobs because of its stellar reputation. Yet, over many stays in Hamburg, I always chose newer, more centrally located hotels. Now I regret not visiting the Jacobs sooner. If you’re after the latest design trends, this isn’t the place; that’s not its focus. Instead, it excels in the highest quality of materials and, especially, in the small details that set a new standard. It starts with the handwritten welcome card, continues with the classic yet exceptional room décor, and culminates in the staff and breakfast. The breakfast is a fine example of the “red thread” that runs through everything: you’re not overwhelmed by a 15‑meter buffet but pleasantly surprised by a curated selection of delights. An additional menu further ensures no desire is left unmet. I also recommend taking time on the quiet, beautiful terrace, watching the Elbe while enjoying a slice of Jacobs cake. We’ll definitely return and are already looking forward to our next visit.

The location is very good, the Austrian restaurant is excellent, and the staff were very attentive. Parking facilities were also very good.
