Located not far from the Indian quarter and a 10‑minute walk to the metro, the classic hotel was by far the cheapest option for a last‑minute trip. The staff were professional and welcoming, the room had all standard services and a water fountain on our floor, offering great value for money. The room had no windows, was small, and had a very austere décor.

The only bright spot was the spot‑on location near Mustafa Centre, where halal options were plentiful. The rest was a nightmare: management seemed more intent on safeguarding the property than on guest comfort, with rules that were unreasonable and overly strict—like forbidding you from eating in your own room after a long day of travel. The building itself desperately needs renovation; it feels old, run‑down, and almost haunted, far from the polished images online. To top it off, my family woke up with numerous insect bites, raising serious cleanliness concerns. The receptionist offered little empathy, coming off as cold and unaccommodating, which only added to the frustration. I would not recommend this place; there are plenty of better hotels in Singapore that truly prioritize comfort, cleanliness, and customer service.
