The welcome was very good.

The owner and his wife were very friendly and gave us a history lesson on the area. The room was spotless. We know the owners had a very busy weekend before our stay and made a small mistake by forgetting to leave towels in our room. We didn’t notice this until later in the evening and didn’t want to bother the owners (I know they would have sorted it out no problem if we had told them), but they are such nice people we didn’t want to bother them.

For a layover, it works well. The restaurant serves excellent food. The breakfast, unfortunately, spoils the overall impression; it is delivered to the room the night before, and the coffee machine sits beside the bed. The restaurant service was somewhat disappointing.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean, and there was parking right at the doorstep. What more could you ask for—many thanks.
