I was really looking forward to staying at Green Cabin, but what I got was a construction site with no one to meet me. The hotel was in the middle of nowhere, and we were left stranded with our luggage. To make matters worse, the owner was nowhere to be found, and when I finally managed to contact him, he sent someone else to offer us a different hotel that was way cheaper and not even close to what we had booked.

The hotel was a hidden gem, nestled in the heart of nature with two beautiful little cottages. The pool was sparkling clean and perfect for relaxing after a safari. The young guy who took care of the hotel was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. He even prepared delicious local meals for us every day, giving us a taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. They also arranged a great safari trip to Wilpattu with a good driver and transportation to our next destination.

The room was a total disaster, but the staff were okay, I guess. They tried to make the best of a bad situation, but it was still a terrible night's sleep. The room was just not up to par.
