Aldeia Hostel II

I really enjoyed my stay at Aldeia II; I booked a private room for three with a private bathroom, the beds were comfortable, there was a mini‑fridge, and the air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was simple but acceptable for a hostel. Reception was helpful all the time and the common areas were very pleasant. On the flip side, it would be better to put a bag in the bathroom trash to make it more hygienic and easier to collect (just a regular grocery bag). Maybe in the future they could add a full‑length mirror in the room, and invest in pest control because I killed three cockroaches in my room.

“Hostel 1000% no Verão Amazônico”

The reception staff’s education and empathy were exceptional. The people are very easy to get along with, so I can’t add anything but a 1000% rating for every member of this multidisciplinary team at the hostel called Paraíso in downtown Manaus. The only downside was the people, the facilities, and especially the food. The heat is part of the season because of the Amazonian summer. Eternal gratitude. I loved everything.

The hostel was clean and pleasant, but after a forest tour I stopped by for a couple of hours before catching a flight. The staff wouldn’t let me in and said I’d have to pay the full night rate of 100 rs, even though I would have paid about 77 rs if I booked on the spot. When I explained I only needed a short rest, they just told me to go straight to the airport. In all my years hopping between hostels I’ve never seen that kind of attitude from a place that caters to backpackers.

“Conforme”

The place has a really family‑like, welcoming vibe that I appreciated. The downside was the internet – the Wi‑Fi kept cutting out, making it hard to stay connected.

Breakfast was excellent, the reception staff were warm, and the leisure area felt inviting – everything just worked perfectly.
