The property is amazing; Connie and John have turned it into a romantic hideaway I never expected to find in Gainesville, TX. The common areas feel warm and welcoming, and the hosts are just as friendly, while the room itself is tidy and cozy. Every detail of the stay was thoughtfully planned. The breakfast area is charming and very comfortable, and the food was tailored to our tastes. We felt right at home in what is a beautiful house. The only downside is that two of the rooms share a bathroom, and we were in one of those rooms. That’s fine if you’re sharing it with friends or family in adjacent rooms, but otherwise it can feel a bit awkward—nothing major, just something to keep in mind.
