“A very comfortable rural hotel with excellent staff, great food and lovely location for people wishi”

We arrived on a sunny afternoon, stepped into the courtyard parking, and were greeted by a small oasis with tables and umbrella‑shaded seating; dinner that evening was unexpectedly fine, cooked by Matthias and served by his partner Laura to a very high standard and at a very reasonable price. The rooms were exceptionally clean and tidy, the bathrooms had slippers, and there were free refrigerated soft drinks and bottled water. The continental breakfast was plentiful and included other items. If we return to the area, we’ll definitely book Le Soleil D’or – well done Laura & Matthias Dias Goncalves.

Nice surroundings, clean hotel, good Wi‑Fi. The reception was very cold and business‑like. The room had air‑conditioning but no secure option for night ventilation. The bed was short with a warm duvet that varied by person and temperature. Parking was limited. The house rules were written in article form on a folder – frustrating. Breakfast was expensive for what you get. We were unlucky with the presentation of overripe brown bananas. We couldn’t taste the kitchen’s quality because the restaurant was fully booked. There was no creativity to provide us with a nice dinner. The restaurant looked great, so the food must be good, but that ambiance was a pity.

We could park our two collection cars in private, secure spots. The cuisine is gourmet and delicious.
