Lotus Hotel

We arrived at 11pm after a confirmed booking, expecting a 24-hour reception, but the place was pitch black and completely deserted. No signs or lights to guide us, we were left to fend for ourselves and had to find another hotel for the night. It was a pretty frustrating experience, especially after a long journey.

“Ehemalige Schönheit”

The young guy who checked us in was really friendly and went out of his way to apologize for the issues we faced. He even gave us two bottles of water as a gesture of goodwill. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by a noisy construction site right next door during the day and a thumping nightclub that played music till 3 am at night. To make matters worse, our room was freezing cold and damp, and the bathroom had a window that wouldn't close.

The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city, but unfortunately, that's where the good news ends. The heater didn't work, which was a major issue during the winter season, and the toilet was a wet toilet with no separate shower, giving off a musty and old smell.

The location of this place is fantastic, but that's about it. The room was freezing cold, and the bed was no warmer, making for a pretty uncomfortable stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the shower had endless hot water, which was a nice touch. However, the noise levels were unbearable, with screaming kids, construction, and bars all night, making it difficult to get any rest.
