“Great amenities and a most spacious room.”
The property was lovely and our room was not only spacious, it had the biggest bed we’d ever seen, far larger than a standard king size. One of us was working, so the extra room and desk were a bonus. Breakfast offered a huge range of options. We saw great sights in Xi’an: the Terracotta Warriors are a must, but don’t miss the Xi’an City Wall—climb to the top, walk, or rent a bike. Another hidden gem is the Legend of the Camel Bell show; stay an extra night to catch it. It’s in a huge dome theatre, mixing projection, live action, singing, dancing, camels, horses, and even wolves. Arrive early and dine near the entrance. The show itself is spectacular—an hour long, six huge sets, rotating seats, entirely in Chinese but with a side screen showing English lyrics, making the storyline easy to follow. It’s an absolute highlight! The only downside was the area: my husband can’t walk far and the neighborhood is very quiet, a bit removed from the bustling spots. It wasn’t hard to call a DiDi car, though.
