“I would definitely recommend.”
The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was spotless, the pillow was perfect, and breakfast was lovely.
We had exactly what we wanted in Edinburgh: a delightful modern room with a top bed and top bathroom, above an authentic Scottish pub. We ate wonderfully, drank a golden drop whisky, and then fell into a deep sleep on the atypical Scottish bed (just nice, large, fresh and soft). It was simply perfect. The room also had drinks, biscuits, coffee and tea. The rooms are above the pub/restaurant, so the spread of food smells isn’t completely ruled out.
“We enjoyed a lovely room and bath at a high price.”
The feather bed was good and the overall aesthetic was nice, but the window blind was broken, the heated towel rail was leaking, and dinners at Canny Man were overcharged at first and below average.
“Beautiful boutique hotel in excellent location. Amazing friendly staff !”
The small hotel offered a comfortable room size and everything was very clean, though the snug room directly over the kitchen could potentially put others off because you could smell kitchen smells a lot.
“Can’t wait to come back!”
The rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean, the attached bar was delightfully quirky and comfortable with lovely food, and the location was peaceful with a really great bus service just outside the hotel, making it easy to get around.
