Located two minutes from Lake Zug’s shore and a kilometer from Zug train station, Zug Youth Hostel offers Wi‑Fi, buffet breakfast, evening meals, and packed lunches. Guests enjoy cellar table‑tennis, a garden with dining tables and barbecue, bike storage, and laundry. Lucerne and Zurich are 30 minutes by train; Zug‑Schutzengel station is five minutes away, and Zug Castle 1.5 km.

The Youth Hostel sits nicely in Zug, just a short stroll from the lakeside and close to a train station, so you can easily enjoy the scenery. It feels like a genuine youth hostel with the expected facilities, and the breakfast was really good. However, it was a hot spell and my room got too warm to sleep, with no way to cool it down.

I slept better in a room with six people than in a single room at another hotel. The mattress was very nice and the beds were very good.
