A perfect base for tours to Sigiriya and the national parks, a bit off the tourist trail yet still central enough. The host family is absolutely charming, helpful, and accommodating. Everything is clean and well maintained. Thilina himself is very business‑savvy and keeps offering to help plan activities—though some comments found that annoying. I think you can’t blame him, and it’s useful: we asked him about everyday life, culture, politics, and customs in Sri Lanka, and we learned a lot during our stay, which we thoroughly enjoyed. In our four‑person room there was no air conditioning.
