The hotel is right by the sea, the view is beautiful; the old gentleman at the front desk is very friendly and enthusiastic; although the facilities are simple, the place is very clean, tidy, and comfortable, and the bed is very good; it added a great memory to the end of our Alaska trip.

The manager was extremely nice and helpful with local lore. The location is mostly convenient, although I personally have difficulty walking long distances. We had to cancel last night but there was no penalty—thanks for that! I would have liked a pool; next time we’ll ask for an ocean‑front building.

The hotel feels a bit dated and minimal, yet it’s very practical. The bed was super comfortable, the staff were extremely courteous, and the location was fantastic. I’m sorry I didn’t stay longer.

The view was great, the room was large, the host was nice, and there was a special decor outside the office; getting to the shore was easy. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the oceanfront room because we couldn’t choose it.
