It was cheap and close to the city centre. However, my bicycle was stolen from my vehicle in the parking lot’s light, there were no cameras, and the police told me it’s the worst area for theft after the fact.

“Not the best”

The step was the best thing about the hotel; the run‑down building was clean, but it needs a lot of work. The hotel was basically empty, yet twenty people were out on the street that were homeless and had nowhere to go. I worried about my car most of the night, and I worried about the people, wondering if they were comfortable. The air‑conditioner noise rattled all night, long, and I could hear the people over it; then I thought maybe I’d have a decent breakfast, but a staff member coughed all over the food, so we just walked out.

“Ok”

There was no sign at the parking lot entrance; the only sign was 10 floors up and not lit at night, so I wasn’t sure I was at the right location. Ten to twelve people were sleeping on the street across the street. The unmarked hotel looked a little shady, and although it claimed to be a 3‑star hotel, it seemed more like a 2‑star.
