“Superb place 💕”

Where do I even begin? This hostel is definitely one of the best I’ve ever stayed at! The garden is amazing (though a bit risky if you end up spending more time there than exploring the island), and there’s plenty of space to relax, nap, and meet people. It’s super quiet and surrounded by nature sounds, and the Momo beaches are within walking distance—great for snorkeling. It’s far from Alona, so you’ll need to rent a scooter, but that’s actually a big plus because it keeps you away from the chaos. The staff are super cool and friendly, working hard all day to keep everything clean and tidy. The vibe is community‑friendly but you still have plenty of personal space—you can really feel the place is run with love and care. And it’s very affordable! I’ll definitely come back and recommend it to many. The only downside is that it can get a bit hot and steamy with just fans, but that’s just how it is.

This hostel tops my list—its garden is amazing, though you might end up spending more time there than touring the island. There’s plenty of space to relax, nap, and meet people, and the surroundings are quiet with soothing nature sounds. The staff are super friendly and work hard all day to keep everything tidy, creating a welcoming community feel while still giving you plenty of personal space. Everything feels run with love and care, and it’s very affordable. The only downside is that nights can be a bit hot and there’s no AC, but the room’s ventilation is pretty good, so keep that in mind.

I’ve stayed here five times now, and the staff are still great. It backs onto the woods, as the name suggests, and it’s very peaceful—if you’re after a party hostel, this isn’t it, but for a chill spot with good people it’s perfect. It’s a bit far from the Alona area, but it feels more local. I love that there aren’t curtains, but they do have bug nets. The showers aren’t always hot, but that didn’t bother me. It’s close to Momo Beach, though if you don’t have a bike it can feel far from a lot of places. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in the Philippines just for this hostel and the staff, as long as you come with an open mind and chat with people, you’ll have a great time. 10/10

The staff are loving, super attentive, and very friendly! The garden is beautiful and well kept, the common areas are a 10, and I was lucky to meet some really warm people. Chill music all day set the perfect vibe. Because it’s on the outskirts in a very calm zone, it’s not for everyone, but that’s why it was easy to sync with other travelers. They also organize delicious dinners on Friday nights. The single room was extremely small, with no space to open the backpack.
