“Small, relaxing resort for great diving and snorkelling”

This tiny, remote island resort in Indonesia is lovely and relaxing, though it’s not plush or posh. The staff were friendly and laid‑back, and we had a great week with my sister and brother‑in‑law. The weather was warm and dry for us, but the dry season in Indonesia can be tough. The resort’s trips, drinks, and spa offered great value, and we took full advantage of everything. My brother‑in‑law dove and thought the dives were excellent; he even went on a night dive as the only diver. We snorkeled and especially enjoyed the boat trips, including a dolphin‑spotting excursion where we spent at least an hour with a huge pod of spinner dolphins that seemed to enjoy entertaining us. We also visited a fantastic reef for a snorkel with turtles and thousands of fish, and we did it twice because we loved it. The excursion leaves early, so we had the dolphins and the reef to ourselves until the end. We also did a sunset boat trip that was lovely, and everyone—including the crew—was extremely relaxed. We had a cocktail and were serenaded by the young staff. The house reef is decent, but the boat trips are a must. The rooms are rustic but have what you need; the AC struggles during the day, but with the fan you stay cool at night. Drinking water comes from the open dining area, and there’s a little fridge. Our view was gorgeous to wake up to. We enjoyed many spa treatments, which were good value. The food was mixed; the BBQ was very good, and we liked the villagers coming to sing for us. The cocktails and beers at the bar were nice, and a selection of mixed drinks was available at Happy Hour for a very good price. Try the Celebes Divers Special! The food is hit or miss; the best dishes were when they stuck to Indonesian food rather than catering to European tastes. If you serve bacon at breakfast, it should be well cooked. A small remote resort naturally has supply and delivery issues. Tea and coffee should be available all day in the open dining area, and the water bottles supplied are hard to fill at the dispenser. Other than that, we had a super week.

The pool, happy hour, billiards, great food, and the reef were all fantastic. The only downside was that there was no TV in the room.

“Very good place for a relaxing time”

I was a bit nervous about the full‑board experience after a bad previous trip, but they organized it very well and gave you some flexibility (lunch and dinner times are between certain hours) and a daily menu that, while limited, was well varied so there was something for everyone’s taste. The staff were all very nice, and the dolphin experience was the highlight of our stay. Thanks to all the staff, it’s a well‑managed property and a great overall experience. Nothing much to add.

“Kleines Inselparadies mit top Tauchbasis und tollem Service”

The resort is a relaxed, small place in a great location with beautiful dive sites. We enjoyed our 9 days there and will definitely come back. The food (VP recommended) and the dive base are all top. The service is super friendly and takes care of everything. We’re especially grateful to Tobi, who always had an open ear and gave us many useful tips about land, people, and everything around diving, and to my dive instructor and “babysitter” Jimbris, who patiently and thoughtfully brought back my love for diving. Please bring everything you need (except high‑quality dive gear, which you can borrow) because, due to the island location, there are no shops or restaurants. That means you can leave your hiking shoes at home. If we’d known before that you could book day trips to the usual sights of North Sulawesi from there, we would have stayed longer. Highly recommended. P.S. The changing currents on the beach make it only partially suitable for small children. We didn’t stay there again.

“Perfektes Island-feeling”

The whole trip, from arrival to departure, was flawlessly organized. The staff stayed attentive and friendly at all times, the food was tasty, the activities were great, and the location is beautiful. The reef is intact and excellent for snorkeling. Highly recommend!
