“A truly luxuriant stay in a lovely hotel”
What a charming property – it feels like you’re staying in an old manor house!
Breakfast was excellent and the spot is convenient. However, part of the parador was old and a lot had been rebuilt, which was a bit disappointing.
Ambience and history. Staff were working hard, but seemed to be understaffed in the bar and restaurant. Restaurant meal was disappointing
“super”
The location and the parking were great. Nothing else to add.
“Stunning Santillana”
The Parador sits perfectly in the main square. On arrival, drive in from the south side via the tourist office on the cobbled streets, turn left, and let Google Maps handle the rest. The hotel boasts huge, inviting public areas with comfy sofa corners to unwind. My room was massive, spotless, and very cozy, with a large window overlooking the side terrace. The bed was superb, pillows were just right, and the AC worked flawlessly. A fridge with minibar options is in the room, but there’s no coffee maker. The bathroom is a bit cramped and has a shower over the tub, yet it’s fully functional. Breakfast costs an extra €22; however, being on the main square means plenty of restaurants, bars, and cafés are right outside if you’d rather explore. Parking options include the Parador car park opposite for €18/day, underground parking for €20/day, or a secluded outdoor lot behind a building for €12/day. The staff were professional, welcoming, and provided good service. A lovely place to stay. The only downside was that I wanted more details on parking costs and exact locations.
