I loved the seaside view and the location was spot on, with shops and restaurants just a stone's throw away. The staff were friendly from check‑in to check‑out, but the screen door kept slipping off its track and the floor wasn’t very clean; a few tea bags would have helped the non‑coffee drinkers.

The staff were great at check‑in and the place is well located with a beach and whales everywhere; the bedding was nice, towels fresh, and the room was cleaned daily. However, the bed felt like a marshmallow and caused back pain, turning on the heat triggered the fire alarm and gave off a burning smell, the rusted AC on the deck fell apart, and when we requested a quiet spot we ended up next to kids the last night. The doors slammed, the staff promised a quiet spot but didn’t deliver, the walls were thin, we’d have preferred an upstairs room with a view other than a hedgerow, and there’s a huge hump in the floor that we tripped over a few times.

The location was perfect for traveling with kids; the little boardwalk in front of the rooms let us wander without going too far. The only downside was that we couldn’t stay longer.
