“Stepping back in time”
Selwood feels like stepping back in time, like visiting a relative in Nuwara Eliya a century ago. It doesn’t feel like a hotel at all, but like a lived-in home, filled with books and curiosities tucked onto every shelf. The caretakers, Murali and Selvi, are wonderfully warm and attentive, anticipating your needs with genuine care. They serve delicious home-cooked meals and, in the evenings, light the fireplace, making the whole place feel even more magical and comforting

We stayed at Selwood Cottage for our anniversary, and it was a beautiful experience. Even though we were away from home, it truly felt like a cozy English cottage. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was absolutely superb. A perfect place for a peaceful and memorable getaway
