The stay was lovely, every detail considered. We stayed in the barn conversion on a self‑catering basis, with a large communal kitchen/lounge but a private ensuite room. Everything was included: comfy bed, great shower, patio area, fully equipped kitchen. The host, Rachel, was lovely and the place was very peaceful for a weekend break. Nothing else to add; it was beautiful.

I didn’t realize it was a B&B when I booked, but luckily there were no other guests at that time. It was far from busy roads, so peaceful enough to catch up on sleep after months of stressful work and lifestyle. The owner had told me beforehand that there was no breakfast, so we managed to bring some for ourselves, but there was a microwave, a toaster, a kettle and cutlery sets and plates available. I just hoped there was a sink for us to wash the dishes, and I apologized to Rachel, who was understanding and offered to do it for us as we were heading home.

The farmhouse sits in a fantastic spot overlooking the fields and the steep coast; a few minutes get you to the South West Coast Path (Bude to Crackington Haven section). Driving takes you quickly to sights like Tintagel or Port Isaac. We felt very at ease in the cozy room, and the owners were friendly and helpful.

Decent area but have to drive everywhere. It wasn't a self-contained cottage, rather a shared cottage with just a fridge and toaster
