“Waiter picked his nose. Twice. Not worth the rating.”
Most staff were friendly and helpful, and the room matched the description. I saw the same restaurant employee pick his nose enthusiastically twice—once during check‑in and again during breakfast, which was appalling. I asked the front desk to intervene, but they only offered a verbal apology and promised to speak to him. I explained that we couldn’t use the $30AUD buffet we paid for because of the unsafe conditions, yet no compensation was offered and the hotel never followed up. I asked to see the cameras, but they said there were none in the restaurant, which is a serious oversight. I’m disgusted and will never return or recommend this place. The reception staff were kind, but the hotel’s proximity to rail transport is disappointing (a 10‑minute walk and two transfers to reach the center), though I blame myself for that. The toilet repeatedly foamed soap every time I flushed—an egregious waste of resources and inappropriate given the climate crisis. I couldn’t figure out how to turn it off.
