The staff were very charming and helpful, the room was fully equipped, the pillows were very comfortable, umbrellas were available, and there was an elevator. The internet connection could have been faster.

Annex Katsukaro Ryokan is a hotel with rooms styled like a ryokan. The rooms have tatami and futon, but also a private bathroom, which is uncommon in typical ryokan.

The ryokan is a small hotel in a fantastic spot away from the usual tourist crowds, just a 5‑minute walk to the subway. It’s surrounded by great shops and interesting streets, and the hosts are very hospitable. It’s ideal for solo travelers. Nothing to complain about; it was really clean and convenient.
