The lodge is a charming little spot right by the mountains, and the room was super comfy. Getting around was a breeze thanks to the shuttle that drops you near Bad Gastein, or you can stroll along the gorgeous river. The hosts were incredibly friendly and gave great tips. Breakfast was a treat—fresh eggs, fruit, yogurt, nuts, coffee, and more. Nothing to complain about; I’d love to come back in summer and try the dinner next time.

The food here is next level; we ended up looking forward to dinner every night. Johanna and Anders cook with so much love that it turns a meal into a special experience. The rooms were clean, the hosts amazing, and the location is spot on for catching the bus to the main ski areas in just 10‑15 minutes.

This place is a gem just a short walk from Bad Gastein, with easy access to ski lifts and plenty of trails for walking, cross‑country, and downhill. The lodge, run by Anders and Johanna, feels like home and the food is delicious. Rooms are spacious, mattresses super comfy, and you can hear the stream and mountains outside. No complaints—definitely coming back.

The hosts are warm, welcoming, and full of useful info on hikes, skiing, and ski touring. The location is perfect for catching buses to the ski fields, shops, and trains. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and roomy. Breakfast is solid, and the set‑menu dinners each night are delicious. There’s a ski room with heated boot racks right by the front door. No complaints at all—will stay again for sure.

I can’t recommend Ski Lodge Jaktman enough. The hosts are incredibly helpful, warm, and welcoming—every corner of the house shows their care. The dinner, paired with great wines, was truly gourmet. A visit here is a must.
