I stayed at this hotel and it was a really unique experience - I mean, you're literally right on the Amazon River. The staff and tour guides were super friendly and made everything fun. They even picked me up from a designated spot in the morning and got me to the hotel by lunchtime. The buffet food was all pretty down-to-earth, but tasty. That being said, my room was a total disaster - the air conditioning was loud and didn't work, so it was ridiculously hot.

This place is way out there - you can only get to it by boat on the Amazon River. When you're not in the lodge, you can't even get a cell signal. The food was cooked by a local woman and was really good. Meals were a blast because we had people from all over - I chatted with a Japanese finance guy based in Mexico, an American, and a Parisian. We did some cool activities like taking a small boat out on the river to watch the sunset.

The team here was really exceptional, from the guide to the chef - everyone was great. My only complaint is that I expected a bit more cleanliness. Still, it was a cool experience.
