The hotel was very well located, the reception was warm, and the restaurant was very good. The bathroom on the mezzanine had a steep staircase.

The hotel is close to the town centre and the food was good, but breakfast didn’t start until 7.30am even though a staff member told us it was 6.30am. When we opened the door to our room we were greeted by four mosquitoes; the walls had blood stains from previous guests who had killed insects, and there were large cobwebs hanging behind the curtains. The hotel advertises car parking, but we were told we’d have to find street parking because the hotel doesn’t have parking.

The hotel was charming and the restaurant impeccable; the Calvados at the end of the meal was fantastic. The first room wasn’t clean, but we were able to get a different one.
