The bath was huge and even had an open‑air pool, the toiletries were plentiful and the Wi‑Fi was a lifesaver, while breakfast offered a wide variety of tasty dishes; the staff’s attentiveness was wonderful, lending me wooden clogs for the foot‑bath and a bamboo basket with a towel, which looked stylish and felt cool, and they explained the foot‑bath location and how long it would take in detail at the front desk, plus there were lots of tourist leaflets for the hotel area and Yamaguchi prefecture that were easy to read and very useful. My room was spacious, tastefully decorated and the furnishings were excellent, and I especially liked the extra towel in the washroom; the hand‑carried basket for the bath was also very nice. However, the women’s large public bath toilet seemed wobbly and I worried it might be broken, so it should be fixed to stop shaking when you sit. In the room I stayed, there were two washrooms but one had the light off and its drain plug wouldn’t come out, leaving water pooled and forcing me to leave it dirty, sorry about that. When I opened the bathroom door, a brief musty smell hit me, which was a shame because the huge tub was beautiful otherwise. It was also disappointing that the souvenir shop closed at 10 am; I would have liked to linger there even though I knew I had to leave the hotel.

I spent two nights here and loved the tatami room—it was very comfortable and roomy. The facility was large and had a relaxing vibe, making it a nice escape. The staff were lovely, and everything was well organized and in good condition. I especially liked the outdoor onsen. The room did have a funky odor, but it wasn’t a big deal; it faded after a few minutes.

Getting to the hotel was a breeze because the bus stop for Yuda Onsen is right in front of the entrance, just a 30‑minute ride from Shin‑Yamaguchi Station, and the place exudes a certain elegance that seems to attract both tourists and locals for weddings. The front‑desk staff gave me a courteous and spot‑on recommendation for a nearby restaurant for lunch.

“Uma imersão cultural e com ótimos banhos em Yuda Onsen”

The hot springs are large and the location is great. The Japanese‑style breakfast is not great.
