Bed was good, room was clean. Breakfast was poor, I took Greek yoghurt with fruits, these were still frozen unfortunately. I am used to better breakfasts in Colombia

“Hotel moderno pero se oía mucho ruido”

The modern facilities and good location were positives, yet the noise from the rooftop kept me awake until 3 am, and the only solution offered was a pair of earplugs.

“Una excelente experiencia”

We spent four nights with family and can only say thanks. Hotel El Zarzo strikes a perfect balance between an elegant boutique feel and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It sits in a very quiet part of El Poblado, yet only a few minutes’ walk from Provenza and Medellín’s best restaurants and cafés. What really sets it apart is the personal touch. Don Víctor and his entire team make you feel at home from the first minute, always ready to help, recommend authentic spots, solve any need, all with a smile and kindness that are hard to find these days. They genuinely enjoy making guests happy, and that shows. The rooms are spacious, very clean, with super comfortable beds, excellent air‑conditioning, and modern décor of great taste. The whole hotel exudes calm, quality, and attention to detail. The rooftop deserves a special mention too – a lovely spot to wind down with a drink in a very pleasant setting. After traveling around Colombia, we can say this was one of the stays we’ll remember most fondly, not just for its facilities but for the human quality of those who run it. Thank you, Don Víctor, and thanks to the whole team. When we return to Medellín, we’ll have no doubt where to stay. Absolutely recommended.
