“Had to leave after a half hour due to smell”
We left after half an hour because I had an allergic reaction to the strong camphor and perfume smells. The room was a good size with space for luggage. The staff were friendly, but communication could have been better. The floor of the bathroom had camphor balls that gave off a strong scent. Towels were heavily scented, probably from fabric softener. When I asked for fresh bed linen, they denied it; I had to show the receptionist a photo of the sheets because he didn’t understand the request. The stairwell to the room was steep and risky with luggage for us older folks. The air‑con was underpowered. I thought someone was singing loudly in the hallway until I realized it was a call to prayer from the mosque next door. We booked another place and left.
