The Parkhotel Waldschlösschen is situated in a quiet location next to Waldschlößchen Park in Annaberg-Buchholz. Its rooms feature satellite TVs, private bathrooms, and mostly free Wi-Fi. Nicht wirklich viel, die Lage war gut, aber das Hotel ist heruntergekommen, muffig, und der Empfang war sehr unfreundlich.

The hotel’s location in the park feels very idyllic, and the Wintergarten restaurant is tastefully decorated. The breakfast was extensive and good, and there’s a nice terrace in front of the Wintergarten. However, the hallways weren’t clean, apparently not cleaned daily. The room décor didn’t meet expectations – there was mold in the window seams. On arrival day (Sunday) dinner was served as a buffet, but everything was of poor quality, clearly reheated food – the schnitzel was hard and inedible. The dinner on the second day was also a let‑down: the Sauerbraten was tough and dry, and the XXL schnitzel was not freshly prepared as highlighted on the menu.

Everything was very good, I would stay there again right away; the breakfast was huge, the staff were super friendly, and the rooms were also very good! The only downside was dinner – the meat dishes were not great, scoring only a 3 out of 10 on a scale of 1‑10.
