“The hotel needs updating and shaking up”
I didn't book any meals, and the location was fine as mentioned. The room had old grime around the sink and toilet area, as if it had never been cleaned, and there was hidden dirt under the bed. The receptionist didn’t make me feel welcome on arrival or departure, not even a thank‑you. The male bartender who was supposed to serve Friday night spent most of his time on his phone instead of working, and I was shocked that they let children play bingo even though they can’t shout if they win—this is still gambling under age. Management seemed oblivious, as if walking around blindfolded. We also had no working radiators for the first two days, so they gave us a portable heater instead of fixing it. I would not recommend staying here again.
