“Não recomendo. Pior quarto de hotel onde já estive.”
We visited this hotel three times during our Kenya trip. The first two visits went smoothly, and given the price, we thought it was a solid choice. The last visit was completely unacceptable. At check‑in for that stay, we were told the Deluxe Queen Rooms we’d booked were no longer available. We were offered a complimentary upgrade to a superior room, which we accepted, only to be disappointed. The so‑called “superior” room was older, more run down, and smaller than the rooms we’d originally booked. It was less attractive, poorly designed, uncomfortable, and in a noticeably worse state of repair, making it absurd to present as an upgrade. The worst part came around 11 p.m. when we were abruptly woken by clear voices that seemed to come from inside our own room. Investigation revealed the noise was coming from the next door. Apparently a single room had been split into two with a plasterboard partition placed directly behind the headboard. Worse, that wall didn’t extend all the way to the glass walls and windows, leaving an open gap that directly connects the two rooms. This opening completely compromises privacy. It’s not just poor sound insulation; the gap is large enough for someone to put their arm through and reach into the neighbouring room, or easily slide a mobile phone in to film inside.
