“Worst booking.com experience ever”

Everything was a disaster. The host cancelled my booking without any notification, and when we arrived we discovered the listed address didn’t match the actual location. She didn’t speak English, so we had to rely on a local to translate; she then told the local that she had cancelled our booking without any prior communication. According to the locals, she speaks very rudely in French. Travelers who don’t speak French should be especially cautious.

“Une erreur d’aiguillage”

The photos on the listing didn’t match what we actually booked, so we were disappointed, but the owner was generous and only charged us for one night instead of the two we had reserved. Since we already had another room booked for the night at a different hotel, we left. Thanks again for her generosity, understanding, and availability. Breakfast was amazing, with homemade pies and jam—wow, a real treat; we enjoyed it, even though €10 is a bit pricey, but homemade food tends to cost a bit more. On the downside, the room itself, while suitable for a teen or siblings, had the owner’s room right next to ours, which isn’t ideal for couples, and we had to leave our room to use the shared bathroom and toilet, especially at night, even though it was private.

Françoise is genuinely very kind; I appreciated her warm welcome even though I arrived late. The room was fine and I felt comfortable, the garden is pleasant, and breakfast was good and plentiful. Françoise even gave me a small green plant when I left. She’s an excellent host, and I would definitely return if I need to.

The owner gave a great welcome. It’s a 5‑minute drive to the centre. The entrance is independent, a very quiet spot with no city noise.
