Having the sea right in front was wonderful, yet the hotel was under construction, gave us a noisy room that upset us, the door creaked loudly when closed, and the bathroom smelled strongly of mildew, which was frustrating.

The private beach right outside the hotel is perfect for families with kids – my child loved seeing the ocean for the first time – and the breakfast was fantastic, mirroring the dinner menu except for sushi, which the little ones ate happily; the only downside was the lack of shade on the beach on a hot day, where a few umbrellas or a canopy would have been nice.

I liked the café and the ancillary facilities, though the lodging itself was dated; still, the downstairs café and tiny boutique offering quality items added a fun touch that made the holiday feel enjoyable.
